Not that he had any real choice in the matter, but Roush Fenway Racing owner Jack Roush said Wednesday that he is satisfied with the penalty that NASCAR levied on Carl Edwards for his part in the intentional accident with Brad Keselowski. On Tuesday, Edwards was placed on a three-race probation as a result of the incident.
Roush said that he was looking forward to a NASCAR-called meeting between himself, Edwards, Keselowski and Keselowski car owner Roger Penske.
Edwards was in an earlier accident during Sunday’s race at Atlanta, and later returned to the track and deliberately wrecked Keselowski; the contact between the two drivers sent Keselowski’s car airborne, and NASCAR parked Edwards for the remainder of the race.
