Today’s number is this week’s daily double:
3: Consecutive poles won by Austin Dillon in the Camping World Truck Series, tying him for third-most all time in the series with Rich Bickle, Greg Biffle, Mike Bliss, Brendan Gaughan, Jason Leffler and Joe Ruttman. Dillon, 20, who has started 12 truck races, will attempt to win his fourth pole in a row Friday at Gateway International Raceway.
7: Mike Skinner’s record for consecutive poles in the series, set in 1995, the series’ first season. Skinner also has the second most, six, achieved in 2007.
